Three candidates will appear on the April ballots for two Grantsburg Board of Education seats: Liz Shultz, Renae Rombach and Colleen Lade, with registered write-in Jeremy Burton also running. Candidates were asked to tell a little about themselves and why they’re running for the board of education:
The Siren School Board of Education may face the task of appointing someone to fill an empty seat on its board, as only three candidates are on the ballot for the April 2 election. There are four open seats available - three three-year positions and one one-year position.
Webster residents can expect some changes in the coming months, as the village is moving into the future with more modern and up-to-date village ordinances, with many of the changes already underway.
Most of the candidates seeking contested seats on the Burnett County Board appeared at a League of Women Voters (LWV) candidate forum last week, outlining who they are and what they believe are the most pressing issues facing the county.

MADISON– The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced a fee increase for nonresident archer and crossbow hunting licenses. This change is the result of Governor Tony Evers signing Senate Bill 780, now 2023 Wisconsin Act 99. New 2024 licenses are now available for purchase.
