The late legendary local sports writer Tony Castro wrote an article entitled ‘All good things must come to an end’. He wrote about his career and time with the Hernando Today.
The downturn created by the housing finance bubble caused significant staffing cuts in 2011. It was only a few years later in 2014 when the decision was made to close the newspaper.
