After nearly a year of work, Calhoun County and Houston-based solar street lighting company EnGoPlanet are nearing the completion of an effort to bring sustainable and independent light systems to parks across the county.

You don’t read much in the Port Lavaca Wave about the happenings at Alamo Beach or the about people that inhabit said locale. Whether for benefit of the greater Port Lavaca area uninformed or those that live here, I’m going to let the cat out of the bag. This place is unique.
